Hello and Welcome to Cofino Kennel's home on the web. We are Lourdes and Pedro Cofino, we have been active in the show world and German Shepherds since 1998.
We became involved in this wonderful breed after trying for a long time to have children of our own. Pedro and I went through many months of various treatments without any success. It was then that I told my husband it was time to move on, and that maybe we should have four-legged kids.
Our first German Shepherd dog, Max also known as BIS Ch. Glenwood Angel Face Max, HIC, TC, OFA (Excellent), came to us at 2 month of age. The joy and happiness that he has brought into our lives is wordless. Max was the Top 10 German Shepherd for the years 2002 and 2003. We just retired him in 2005 from the show ring after going to Westminster in New York .
Over the years our family grew and we found ourselves opening our hearts to more Shepherds and even other breeds like the Pharaoh Hound and Newfoundland . At present time our family consist of Max, Duke, Una, Anubis, Isis, and Isabella.
Our goal is to breed dogs with good temperament, excellent movers, and dogs with intelligence and superior structure. We breed for quality and not quantity, which is why we have only one litter every other year.
